Customer wants me to mount his EV charger on the back of an external, plastic meter cabinet. The cabinet is a new plastic one at the other side of his drive from the house with a separate consumer unit inside. This would be an ideal location for ease of installation.

Replaced the RCBOs with new ones and still having the same problem. Tried it at the socket (outdoor), and at the DB with the conductors disconnected. RCBO still failing for additional protection at 5X In (56ms).

It ended up being a mixture. I split the ring and had the low reading at both ends. I totally disconnected the neons and tested each leg and it was normal (>999M).

MET bar next to meter in another room.
Bonding attached to main consumer unit.
Where should I remove the earth from, consumer unit or MET? If MET, use a wander lead? My thoughts are to disconnect earth...
