A huge amount of issues are caused by the old "cash in hand " mentality that the customer is also happy to be part of .And very very little paperwork SMS trail .     This could be a bonus point..... He has done un authorised work. Tell him you will arranging for a EICR to be carried out to ensure his work is safe etc and will be sending him the bill...... Have some fun with the guy , I hate people that cheat and rip people off :-)

    Its simple.... you asked him to complete the works you listed. Did he inform you in any way he would need to carry out other works maybe after a EICR etc and did you agree to them ? Also did you ask for a quote for the works YOU wanted ? Chances are he might be playing you along.... ask for...

    The UK's top employment lawyer suggests the very same..... and her sons are examples. There is NOTHING about them on social media and most of their friends all adopt the same thinking. The chances of a persons details been searched for on the internet is super high and a great way for anyone...

    Dont dress "ganster" , no need for a suit etc .Just clean clothes and shoes etc . best trick. Turn phone off and do not use it whilst on the property etc .Even whilst waiting. Dont come over as a "phone junkie" ! And Given the Chance...DO ask a question.

    Ive seen this work also well..... Customer starts to worry about "radio silence " and them still having some money they owe you .Some people get a bit paranoid about "what is going to happen" :)
