    Good morning all. What have I got on today? Well, just a pair of tatty shorts and a loud shirt! Beach walk done, Cava breakfast done, tidying this place next because my daughter is visiting timorrow for a few days, then watching the golf from Valhalla.     Unreasonably high invoice bill from an electrician

    Is there actually a contract? Until we see the exchange of emails etc we will not be able to judge. There are so many ways to look at this, but I can't believe any competent electrician would quote, say £500, and then, on finding other remedial works are necessary, plough ahead and up the bill...

A friend, who has no electrical or tool knowledge, bought me a Knipex installation pliers, I just couldn't quite justify the cost, but he bought me the top end ones and they are my go-to...

    Final hospital visit for me this morning, this is number 6, following a detached retina operation. Parking is a nightmare at the hospital, as it seems to be everywhere. My last day working was yesterday, and I'm looking forward to 6 weeks in the sun, starting this Friday.

    For the record, as a tennis player, I always recycle my tennis balls by giving them to my dog-owning friends...and I mean quality balls, not cheap crap! These used balls, from a premium maker, last at least 3x as long as the cheap ones! Once the dogs get them, we're talking at least 3 minutes...

    The Bosch Go2 electric screwfriver is a fat handled unit. It also has variable torque, so is great for faceplate screws when set at a low level. You can turn up the torque for other work or lock it off. It saves time and obviously you don't need to use your wrists as much as with a normal driver.
