Well, really boring day so far. All we've managed is disconnect the HVs on a gen tx. Waiting for scaffolding that should have been completed Thursday before we can disconnect the LVs and sort out the tx maintenance. Before anyone complains I know the LVs are not LV but it's what they are refered...
Today I'm back near Runcorn. Hopefully finished fairly early then the drive down through mid Wales to home. I would have liked to be home early as It's a big day for my daughter. She should be picking up the key to her first house today.
Longish day today. Start off at home, s Wales, drive to Coryton in Essex, get my job done then drive up to Spalding ready for tomorrows job. At least the weather is cooler today.
Well, todays job is done. I'm currently sat in the sun by the 'beach' in Grain looking over at Southend. Been stuffing my self with 2 Cadburys caramel doughnuts followed by an injection of insulin. Going to go for walk now. Wish I had my dog with me.
Currently in Scunthorpe with the sun beating down on us. More or less finished this job (disconnecting 2 x 400kv gen transformers). Got a long drive to a Premier Inn in Gillingham in Kent to look forward to once we get away.
I would like to know what sort of music these people listen to. I've just got this image of them spending £32k on a lead and then listening to a bit of Napalm Death. Slipknot would be fine but Napalm Death would be a step too far :)

Oh these audiophiles are a totally gullible bunch :tonguewink:
I've recently watched Dave at EEVBlog changing the batteries in a $4500 Chord Hugo DAC and it got me thinking about my audio equipment. I was thinking of first upgrading my power leads. I was looking at one of these Nordost Odin 2 I would need a 2.5m lead which at £32,375 seems quite a bargain...
Came home from my week at work yesterday. So far today I've washed a stack of dishes left by the family, washed and hung out 1 load of washing (2nd load is in), cleaned the pond filter, soaked and scrubbed my overalls ready to go in the washing machine. I'll be glad to go back to work Monday for...
I bought a Bahco 9031 8" wide jaw adjustable as I couldn't find the one I had. I went to the van to put it in my tool chest and found my missing one. Oh well.
Holiday is fine, apart from the wife snooring. Glad you had a good time. It's always nice to have a break.
Bank hol is the week after, 6th May. I'll be driving up to Scunthorpe that day. Tuesday and Wednesday at Keadby then drive down to Kent for Thursdy and Friday.
