No, it doesnt work like that.
If the plug is getting too hot then the problem is in the plug.
If the plug is just getting warm then it is perfectly normal
The item above is, according to the data sheet, an isolator switch so performs both the functions of an isolator and a switch.
A straightforward isolator may only be suitable for operation off-load, but an isolator switch would be capable of on-load operation.
Is that circuit isolated? Presumably you have removed light fittings before taking those pictures and whoever did the recent electrical work did not leave it in that poor condition?
In the first picture the 2 brown conductors joined together are permanent live, the blue conductor and the grey...
That won't necessarily be the correct order for the isolator though, as I said above the Wylex version has the neutral on the left.
A TP&N switch should have a designated neutral pole which is early make/late break.
I was trying to work that out, I'm only familiar with the Wylex version which has the neutral pole on the left, I couldn't find information on the lewden one pictured.
And a responsibility for the safety of others around them.
It's not just getting on with the the job, it is getting on with the job in as safe a manner as possible and everyone going home alive and well at the end of the day.
Radio or pager based lone working systems were used, and in some...
Yes measurements will increase, but that does not mean there is any problem, if everything is designed correctly the increased values will still be compliant.
Ze is the earth fault loop impedance of the external supply, that what the e stands for, external.
The Ze will stay the same regardless of what you install or where.
The regs do not set any limits for Ze. DNOs generally try to keep within the 0.35 or 0.80 values, but supplies can go above...
I've not worked on that one but have worked on many other shows.
The majority of my work is in west end theatres, either doing electrical installation and maintenance for the theatre or actually working on getting the shows in/out of the theatres.
That's the magic of theatre!
Automation is more common these days, especially on big name shows like cursed child and stranger things, but there is still a heck of a lot of things that are operated by members of the crew.
I think the last time I did anything like that I was one of 4/6 crew, in...
Would it be under the control of management who are fully aware of the dangers and care about electrical safety and diligently ensure it is locked off after every use and the keys properly controlled?
Or would it be under the control of management who would just hang the key on a hook next to...
Not a ridiculous idea at all, it is how I have dealt with the request to remove an RCD from a 32A socket in the past.
Whoever is using the socket can then connect whatever distribution box they require, which should have the necessary MCBs and RCDs, in to the 63A socket then test and certify...
It's not a distribution circuit if it feeds a socket, it is a final circuit.
The fact it is usually used to feed a transportable unit doesn't change the type of circuit, or prevent it from being used for anything else in the future.
