anyone tried that bosch 18v cordless drill with 3 batteries from screwfix, any good ? currently on offer at £150 and i am tempted.reviews please before i either buy one or spend the money on something else i dont need.thanks.

I dont know what the new Lithium stuff is like, but my firm usually buys Bosch, and we've had loads of drills pack up in one way or another (by loads, I mean every single 14/18volt one I have seen). The batteries dont seem to last very long, they are big and heavy, and they do, or at least they used to, have a problem with getting stuck on hammer. The last two drills that were supplied to our lads were Makita, and they seem ok so far. I have an 18volt Dewalt, which I have had for 5/6 years, and the drill is still perfectly ok, cant say the same about the batteries though, Dewalt batteries also seem to pack up fairly quickly.
If its just for occasional use, it will probably be ok, but if you are using it everday, I'd try and get some more reviews before buying.

Is this it?Bosch GSB 18VE2-LCP 18V Li-Ion Combi Drill - NoLinkingToThis, Where the Trade Buys
Seems very good value for a Lithium.

yes thats the one, i have a 18v makita and a dewalt 24v which are used most days, the makitas batteries are starting to wear out a bit not lasting as long but the dewalt is still good, both about 3 years old so i am after another drill and that one looks a decent price for li-on,might have to save my pennies and get the makita li-on.thanks for the reply.
