In a few minutes of boredom in a switchroom today we discussed why 'I' is used for current. If you think of Ohms law V & R are pretty obvious but why 'I' for current? If we were discussing inductance I could understand it but that's measured in henrys. So, without cheating and Googling it anyone know the significance of the 'I'? No doubt it's obvious but we couldn't think of it.

Today we have been contacted by another company based in Essex who in the past we have supplied subcontract work to.
They employed a "fake" spark in May this year who's qualifications and JIB card were high quality fakes.
The company who employ a moderate amount of staff, know what a real JIB card and C&G Certs look like were taken in.
The JIB card was a "top notch" fake compete with hologram (It's probably better quality than mine then... Think the JIB ran out of colour ink when printing...
Bit of a dilemma / argument with the way the Project manager, who has supplied me with a wiring diagram that hes done for control of hot water in a block of 4 cottages.
The cottages are pme earthing, there are 2 phases split between the 4 cottages.
There needs to be a call for heat from 2 cottages which are on a different phase to the boiler, his wiring brings the supply in to a wiring centre to supply the zone valves / and tank stats.
