Hello,

Upon visiting the site and performing some testing and inspection it has been found that all four of the CT’s installed in the starter cubicles are over heating. The burden is 2.5VA , ratio is 20:1 A @ Class 1 CT.

What might be the problem? please help

hello mate. sorry 2 bother you at this time but i could not sleep thinking about my job tommorow. I have been called to do 40 coumputer sockets for a coumputer room this means they shall stay on 24 7. i was wondering how much ring shall i use 40 coumputer on 40 socket outlets. how many rings will i need and they will be backed up by a type c 32A breaker any suggestions pal cheers

afternoon,just finished (PIR) on a house averything looking good reading good ,gas and water all bonded,fuseboard ok just one rcd for the ring,cooker...the proplem is one ringcircuit for the house is it ok. three bedroom house 2xsockets in each room 6+2in kitchen +2 in livingroom=10sockets in total is that ok,lighting 2xs/circuit wired in 1mm twin&e is that ok for the size the cable ,,,forgot to tell you its the old colour red/black.one last proplem im trying to download the PIR forms cant find one ...need reply asap please

hi,i finished doing house re-wire,started doing the testing the reading i gto is not normal can you please see and tell me what you think.ring circuit1 reading r1 0.26 r2 0.67 N 0.39 r1+r2 0.26 .
ringcircuit2 r1 0.48 r2 1.09 N 0.47 AND R1+R2 0.42.
RING CIRCUIT3 R1 0.92 R2 1.53 N 0.92 AND R1+R2 0.65 .

LIGHTING CIRCUIT1 R1+R2 0.44 AND ZS 1.21
LIGHTINGCIRCUIT2 R1+R2 1.78 AND ZS 1.31

hi sintra,i have passed my niceice thanks for you help.my friend im nearly finishing a house re-wire and in fitted a 3x smokealarms part of the deal,i used sepret circuit for the alarms,my q is what about testing can i do the full test and use the house cert or sepret ones pls help me .tell me what is the test to do on smoke alarms and test papers to use ...many thanks

hi i needto change a celling rose fitting to the lighting circuit the proplem im haveing is no rcd,theres one for sockets only.and this minor wor is for nicice assesement,do i need to fit rcd ,whatwould you do please help
