I know my limitations but have worked as an electricians mate on and off over the years. At the moment I work a couple of days a week for an electrician who mainly refurbishes bathrooms and kitchens and I do the electrical work under his supervision. Still studying and learning the theory (in my own time - not at college) and know how to use a MFT for continuity, IR, RCD tests etc, but do not have the depth of practical experience that a time served electrician would have. I want to increase my knowledge without endangering anyone. If I'd to do it all again I'd forget college etc and do an apprenticeship.
