Last year we installed 20 odd 20w led floods in a church to replace there old 400 w floods. Now 3 unit have since failed the units are only used on. Sunday so very low usage. Now the manufacture of these unit offers a 1 year on site warranty great so they will come out and replace them.
Nope that is not the case the units are not covered by the warranty due to them being fitted inside when the instructions recommend outdoor use.
I will not name the manufacture but let's just say the Orange shed did there boards for £50

You've not witnessed the fine sight of a Geordie Reverend chucking his fire & brimstone around at full chaff have you?

I did indeed Fatha. I wish I had a tele. I used to hate them, thought they were ugly but now I like them

It's all I ever wanted since I saw Bruce Welch playing one and the sound is just sublime.

Mine isn't a real one - it's an Antoria - which was all I could afford back in '72 and I got it from a shop in South Shields (Savilles I think and paid 55 guineas) but the neck & fingerboard is nice. I chucked it's pickups away and fitted a Dimarzio Pre BS Tele at the bridge and a Ibanez Super 80 Humbucker at the neck to give it a bit more grunt. I was after a Mick Green (of the Pirates) sound.

I have an original Burns Nu-Sonic of about 1962 vintage but it's knackered and I have a Burns LJ 24 which was made in South Shields or therabouts. I swapped its pickups for the old Nu-Sonics, but I never really liked it and only carried it as a spare on the basis of it's easier to swap the guitar in mid set than change a string. In a way, the old Nu-Sonic is living on.

The Antorias were great copies, I used to have one of their SGs. I too ripped the pickups out but I went for Seymour Duncans because they have a bit more clout than Di Marzios. The Ibanez super 80s were fantastic, I also had an Ibanez Destroyer with them in. That thing would take your head off.
The only Burns I've played was a very old Bison which was lovely, I could have played it for days quite happily, then I tried a Flyte which I played for about 5 minutes. Horrible thing to play despite being tremendously pretty

You seen me new toy Fatha?

Aye .. the Flyte was horrible and I saw & played one which was the 7th off the production line at City Music stores. I told the bloke it wouldn't sell because it was the same price as a Strat. which was much more well known.

In the end, Burns went bust - again- & the stock got sold off at Jeavons in Percy street. Flytes, LJ 24s, Baldwin Vibraslims (nice job) and others the names I forget - all one price £99.

The case it's in is pretty flippin meaty mind ye Fatha. Obviously not as hard as a proper flight case but for my needs it'll do

Aye .. the fact is a flightcase is just too bloody heavy to cart oboot on the bus and it'll trash your car, but if you're relying on Roadies then it's a must have.

We made them on special order for Overwater Guitars and had one sent back for repairs after it was hit by a shotgun blast.

One panel needed to be replaced but the guitar inside was unmarked.

Cost of case: almost £200. Cost of guitar: Over a grand making the case a pretty good investment.
