Has anyone got a source for "pin plugs"?

I find "Uni-fix nailing plugs" - but at nearly ÂŁ8 per 100 on Ebay! That's barmy when cheapo yellow plugs (just a teeny bit too big for clip nails) are 39p in Screwfix.

I used to have a box of yellow ones which worked a treat, but no idea of the brand, and all the yellow ones I find now are sized for ~ 3.5mm screws.

Yes I know I can yank out the nails and use a screw, and yes that's just great, but sometimes there are quicker ways..

never seen wooden plugs. can get wooden sockets though:
