Hi guys just a quick one. Have a 3 phase board in a small commercial unit fed from a single phase. Circular hole in bottom of cu is around 50mm in diameter and all that passes through is two 25mm tails and 16mm earth. What would be the best option to seal the hole without making a mess? Have found similar threads but these seems to centre around the hole being in the back (ie. into cavity) so options provided don't suit what we need. Our options are limited in regards to wholesalers (120 miles away), no delivery til Thursday, so would need to be something we could pick up in the likes of Jewsons or similar building merchants!

Thanks!

stocks are what you should be in.

I admit I am not perfect, but I don't like to be compared to a Electrical Trainee chancer. I'm nearing the end of the 3rd year of my apprenticeship and will be eligible for my FICA from August onwards. As we are mainly domestic I'm sure you can see why I haven't had to rectify a problem like this (an abortion left by an experienced spark!). Okay I had a brain fart in the creative department but I admitted it! Everyone is entitled to an off day! Job is done as per Tel's (non sarcastic - thanks) answer and everyone is happy.

i thought darkwood's idea of using conduit box lids better as there's less work to be done. as long as the said lids are big enough to cover the hole.

True and thank you darkwood (just saw your edit).

Re: original reply: I appreciate I only gave half the story originally but didn't see the need to write my life story when describing my issue (which is what I have essentially done now!).

I think you have totally misunderstood my post, i certainly wasn't referring to you, but those that have only ever had the barest of training and no site experience, eg the 17 Day/ Electrical Trainee's chancers!!
