Not needed. As was said earlier, the sheath is already earthed (needs checking and testing) via the earthed pot.You can get boxes that clamp the pot inside so you wouldn't need to reterminate the cable to fit a gland

If you can find a suitable method of box cable entry for the potted pyro end it can be connected safely.

I have this memory as a apprentice of using beads rather than neoprene as the conductor insulation for pyro ends
