DBs located in every room.
7 x circuits in All DBs.
Im doing condition reports.
Many of the DBs have been installed as the pic attached. The top surface of the DB has been completely removed andbbutted up to ceiling. A large hole in the plasterboard with cables entering. No gland on the SWA feed also entering through the plasterboard.
C2s
-No swa gland
-fire barrier not made good where cables pass through ceiling.
- dust ingress entering from ceiling void due to method of installation.
-integrity of DB not maintained due to removal of top surface.

Other rooms have DBs mounted in cupboard. A large bush in top surface for cable entry and is mounted high level. Ip4x not maintained but only accessible via step ladder. Live parts potentially accessible, can get finger through but very unlikely.

C2
Mini fridge socket in every room has no rcd protection and is not labelled for specific use. Also the caretaker has mentioned its often unplugged and used by guests for other things. Another point alrough very unlike again on ground floor there is patio doors in all rooms, potential for use outdoors in a hotel room would you take this into consideration?

Thats enough for now. Plenty more obs for such a new installation.
