Found this whilst ripping out on a job today...they were knocking down part of the building....not sure if its genius or rough....maybe both???

Somehow I'm loving the reeded timber faceplate surround...presumably there to cover the bad plasterwork, gaps etc. Yet, is that a Fire Point switch thingy? How nice to clothe that in a nice wooden surround...it's an emergency... but hey...look at what a nice surround it has!

Reminds me of a sign I saw at Glasgow airport...you know how they have a few defibrillators these days...
so, above one of those was the sign "Emergency Defibrillator"...
presumably to discourage casual use by those who just wanted a bit of a jolt because their flight was delayed...
"Feeling down? Zap yourself here, and have a nice day!"
