ive fitted a nest thermostat to my CH system, which i believe to be a heat only system, but cannot get it to work off the wireless stat,

it works on manual, and when in auto mode i can hear the Nest Heat link relay clicking on and off as i adjust the wireless stat but the heating doesn't come on,

what should i do with the existing room stat wiring? ive been advised that i should connect the SW Live and Common together ?

one thing ive noticed, is that when in manual mode im getting 230V out of the HW & CH normally open terminals, as i would expect? but in auto mode, when i turn the thermostat up, i get 230V out of the CH NO terminal, but 0V from the HW,

should the HW connect to the HW NC terminal? this gives 230V when in auto mode

Thanks

wonderful.

Buy from Amazon, no technical help. Very little UK taxes paid.

Hoping from free advice on here...
Wow , i thought this was a technical help forum not a political forum, pretty new to this forum but first impressions are its not a very helpful forum to be in, thanks for your valuable input

Not sure what the wiring system is, is there an easy way to determine this ?
It MAY be wired to one of the standard plans. These can be found here
Wiring Guide Issue 16
There are many variations though and plumbers have their own funny ways of doing things.

It’s not a technical help forum, it’s an electricians forum (the clue is in the title)
The vast majority of members are electricians who install such equipment for a living, some of us are nest pro installers. Why should we give you instructions on how to do our job for free, especially when you are working with electricity which has the potential to kill you if you make one simple mistake?
