Hello all

Took the plunge an have gone for a Hive setup.

Boiler has a mechanical programmer fitted an no other wired/ wireless stat fitted

Removed the bottom panel of the boiler an can see the main feed on the far left.

Then its currently wired as CN CI CL all of these go to the mechanical programmer

I then have RN RI RL with a link between RI & RL

Im planning on removing the programmer an installing Hive in its place. Im told the wiring is...

Hive Live = CL
Hive Neutral = CN
Hive No = CI
Then a wire from Live (supply) to Common on the Hive backplate

Does that sound correct?

I was under the impression it needed a mains supply?

thanks

No that doesn’t appear to be correct at first glance, and yes it does need a mains supply which your suggested wiring does provide.

Without seeing the manual for that particular version of the Ri boiler I wouldn’t like to comment further as those terminal markings don’t match the standard used by Worcester for current boilers.

Who has told you that is the correct wiring?
