I dont actually use the joist stripper as its a pain unless the cable is perfectly formed.
They are useless to be honest unless you have a Pyro straightener as if doing smaller cables you can just use a pair of side cutters.

I got me stripping tool, which I made as an apprentice. I'll route it out, probably worth hundreds as an antique :)

Would that be an 8mm steel rod, about 18” long with one end bent to make a handle and a slot cut into the other, into which the MI outer sheath was put?
Mmm pyro, i miss the dust getting everywhere and the occasional shorted out pot

Exactomo :)

Here's my high quality MI stripping tool. Unfortunately the powder coating has failed after many years use, but you can still see the precision cut in the tip.

Fecking stupid auto correct, "competition"........... The winner gets a free tool donated by Pete, you have to enter his house undetected to collect it though.......

Mark me down for bad spelling, go on your finger is hovering over the button ;o)))))

Bar Steward I knew he would do it....... ;o))))))

Oh and before the moderators get their knickers in a twist regarding circumventing the swear word filter I would just like to state that I met Midwest over 30 years ago when he was a Steward in a Bar.
