Went to fit a shower extractor fan and found the loft light wiring like this. All the earths disconnected which as they has metal light switches was doubly dangerous.

The consumer unit was fitted by a NICEIC electrician, who not only didn't put any dates on the label but didn't provide a EIC or Part P certificate either.

Note the low level sockets in wooden skirting boards which he thought was OK also.

This was installed by a Glasgow electrician four weeks ago.
He really ought to have used screws and rawlplugs instead of relying exclusively on the adhesiveness of the trunking.

I always thought the adhesive was to hold it in place whilst you drilled and screwed it in permanent place.
I would never just use the adhesive unless it’s less than 500mm (which I did the other day! wonder if it’s fallen off yet!!)
Imagine the shame of going back to that job!

The guy who installed this can relax as the customer has no intention of ever allowing him back in her flat. I have been tasked with re-fixing that trunking run.

Self-adhesive trunking has it uses, but certainly not on a run like this. The installer evidently hasn't bothered to fit fire-rated clips either. Some of the idiots up here in Glasgow who profess themselves to be electricians really need to consider alternative employment methinks.

Here's another example of what I find on an almost daily basis:
