Only in Barnsley, aren't the council fantastic.
Saw this a couple of days ago and just had to get a shot.
Credit to the guy who did it, I don't think anyone could get it closer if they tried.

Look at this for a quality job I come across, now the property has been pir'd eicr,d for the last 20 years because the customers insurance company requires it as it's thatched. The chap who owns the place has all of them. Yet not one picked up on this as being remotely wrong. I can't believe that it hadn't been commented on as the chap said it's been like that since he moved in 30 years ago!

Posted this in another tread but this mess along with other equally appalling install work was left by a scheme member in a property I was working at recently (the board with the meter on is the left hand piece of the DNOs board where the cut outs are located. Yes the neutral is hanging off the board, the main earth is only 10mm2 and the supply cable is being crushed by an earth clamp, none of the tails are supported, the tails to the CU is routed through a gauntlet of rusty nails, not only are there damaged cables as a result of pulling them in orgianlly this was all done in the last 5 years. now has 5 socket circuits and 4 lighting circuits and the list goes on and on. Needless to say it resulted in unsatisfactory… I wonder why…

Rerouted a cable that was coming through this customers front door frame and put it through the wall as he was having all his windows and doors changed.

Opened up the CU to find this beautiful piece of work. Note that MCB is sitting higher than the rest, so the installer cut a notch out the face plate in the cover to accommodate.
