As title, installing some spots for a friend and whilst in the loft noticed another circuit cable looked iffy.

on closer inspection the cable had been worn to the copper, pretty much sure it was done on installation 20 years ago.

Nobody noticed as the wear as it was face to face with the cable underneath.

I've taped it up for now but would like a more permanent fix, can probably get a couple of inches of slack and the cable runs along a joist.

I would like advice on an inline connector that will secure the cable correctly and can be fixed to the joist, or are there other better and acceptable methods in use?

Any ideas?

Ta in advance.

Come on lads, links, pretty pictures.

I'm not asking for the moon on a stick here.:p

Seriously though, I had Wago boxes but the cables all enter from one end and I don't have the slack to do that.

Unless that is there is one that is inline.

Look at quick wire connections only problem is you need to buy the tool for stripping but once got the tool quick and easy and saves loads of time terminating

They are good, but only do up to 16A, up to now.

Is it a light circuit?
