Delay of around 30 second lightswitch?

I'm trying to find a way to delay the lights coming on after the switch is turned on - this is so I don't disturb my wife when I go to our ensuite bathroom which has the light outside the room. I've thought of 4 ways:

1) Put a pull switch inside the bathroom - it's not our flat, so that would involve persuading the landlord to let us do it and sounds quite expensive.

2) Replace the two GU10 bathroom downlighters with smart versions so I can turn the light on with my phone after I go into the bathroom. One problem is I can't find anyone selling smart, bathroom GU10 downlighters.

3) Replace the switch with a remote control switch - the only ones I've used are infrared, so they won't work in this situation.

4) Replace the switch with a "magic" switch that delays actually turning the lights on for around 30 seconds - that's probably my preferred solution, if only the magic switch existed!

Help please!

Swap the GU10 lamps (bulbs), rather than replacing the fittings, for smart lamps (bulbs), Philips Hue or similar. They can be controlled via WiFi (or in some cases via remote).

Thanks; I hadn't thought of that - I'd prefer a solution where I don't have to access above the ceiling as I think that will have to involved getting permission from the landlord, but that might be the way.

Are there bathroom smart GU10 lamps? I can't find any.

Stop over complicating things,

Stick one of these just inside the door, should be bright enough for a night time pi55.

That's because it's the light fitting not the lamp that carries the IP (ingress protection) rating making it suitable for a bathroom (so any GU10 lamp is suitable for a bathroom in the right fitting - for the purposes of this thread I'm assuming your existing fittings were correctly selected by the electrician that fitted them and are suitable). Just Google GU10 smart bulb, plenty of options come up.

I'm with @GBDamo on this. A simple battery powered LED push light will solve the problem.

Apepper I guess you going to have to take a flashlight
