Hi all,

I could use some help identifying the wires in one of my light switch box to swap out for a smart light switch. I see the line and load wires that were connected to the old switch, one of which is pigtailed from 3 separate wires. I also see the white neutral wires that were tucked neatly in the back before I pulled them out. However, I don't see the ground wire. There are no other wires in the box. The other light switches on another circuit had a freestanding ground wire in the box, and the hot wire was not pigtailed, and I was able to successfully install the smart switch. The switches on this current circuit all have similar wiring where I don't see a ground wire. Is it possible that in the box in the pictures, the ground wire is pigtailed to the hot wire for some reason? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If that’s a metal box it should be connected to it first
