Hey everyone! I am drafting out my first solar power off grid system for my back yard shed and came here in hope to get some good recommendations from you guys on trusted a charge controller which will support my current specs but also give me room to grow as I improve on this system. Below are images to my current set up and some specs.

Current PV Input

1200 Watts (12 X 100W Panels, 6.24A Short-Circuit)

53.7 Volts

22.88 Amps

Connected to Battery Terminal

24 Volts

235 Amp Hours

5640 Watt Hours

I’m looking for something sturdy with all the features one would need to maintain such a system. Please keep in mind that I’m a beginner and this is my first build. I really hope to get it right before I start throwing money into it. If you guys notice anything wrong with my set up so far please lmk I would like to avoid as much errors as possible. Thanks again for all the help everyone!

Hi, I don´t know anybody using 12V panels here, everybody has 60 cells 250-280W panels(38Volts),anyway your proposal is correct. First check what is the input voltage of the MPPT you want to use. The one on the picture is 100V max. Hence I have 6 panels (2 on the balcony and 4 on the roof) conected 2 in series and 3 couples paralel. It gives me 70V and 25A max. Then check what currant you need to charge the batteries and choose the MPPT regulator. There are 10A,20A,30A in Epever version.
