So over the past few years we have seen the demise of 8 foot fluorescent tubes,50 watt halogen bulbs,500 watt floodlights and making tv standby power even more tiny.
This seems to pale into insignificance when electric cars are needing at least 7kw for 8 hours.
Now I don't know about you but when I'm in the shower for 10 minutes I'm thinking this is costing me a bit at 8.5 kw.So to leave 7kw on for 8 hours is madness. It makes a joke of all the energy savings over the past few years. What do you guys think?

There are good and bad drivers of all marques.

I suggest that any who are prejudiced against others on the basis of what they drive are very likely to be so blind to their own shortcomings as to put them firmly in the second category.

I used to be an Audi driver, 2.5v6 A4, and I never held up traffic until it died on the Bridgewater sliproad on the M5 ? I knew how to use indicators too. Now I drive a Volvo. Don't have a smoking jacket and a pipe yet though.

I apologise wholeheartedly for my unwarranted suggestions of Audi drivers.

I myself tow a caravan for my own pleasure occasionally at the safe, legal speed limit.

Do I care if I’m holding someone up? No... because I know I’m driving properly.

I do care, however, when some impatient fool overtakes at 90, with something coming the other way.

As for "literally", I believe that prejudice and unthinking generalisations are unhelpful.

As someone who spent childhood holidays in a caravan and who used to cycle several hundred miles each week, I'm reasonably well placed to make tongue in cheek comments about either group.

Never having owned an Audi, I should apologise for suggesting that a motoring show might be the best place for their owners.

*For any kitchen fitters or plumbers reading this forum, I'd like to distance myself from any derogatory commentary that has been posted about your (or other) trades ?

What is it about trades people and BMW drivers, I can't think they are all jealous, but perhaps they are.

I think it's more a numbers thing. At one point many years ago, BMWs were comparatively rare compared to the more main stream brands. Then they started outselling the Mondeo and so became much more common on the roads. So just by quantities alone, you are statistically more likely to see a BMW doing something wrong than most other makes, as they are more common.

I don't think it's anything to do with the type of driver who drives them.

here is a typicla indicator stalk in a BMW
