Customer rings up...

“Got a couple of little jobs needing done”

Took notes, then I asked “ is that it? A few lamps to change, a dodgy pullcord and you want me to put in a dimmer switch?.... yes? Nothing else?...... ok.... I’ll be there about 3 to finish the day off”

Get there, and while I’m changing the bathroom pullcord I see this.....

“Oh yeh.... can you change the shower switch as well?”

“see you next week”

Lovely - is that a wooden ceiling? What's the betting that there's no backbox in there and it's just screwed straight to the wood?

Wooden ceiling couple of inches below original plasterboard. Downlights are a hell of a squeeze tight through two holes...

Would have made the holes in the top ceiling bigger to accommodate the mousetrap springs.

Therein lies the problem. I see no merit in further circular debate, so will bow out of this discussion.
