Got called out to a commercial kitchen, the job stated that they had no gas as the intake fans had failed.
Turned up an the "local spark" had bypassed the Merlin CT1250 and effectively hard wired the gas valve, intake and extract fan and completely omitted the E stop.
None of the wiring inside the control panel was labelled so everything would have to have been identified and a new panel wired in.
The old panel had a failed PSU and relays, why?
Apparently it "went brown" within a few weeks of installation 6 years ago.
Why?
Was he original install cosier?
What am I getting involved in?
....drops shoulder and heads for the exit....
Right call?
Or need to grow a pair?
