[ElectriciansForums.net] Unit 204 City And Guilds Practical Exam

TL;DR
could anyone give me some help as I have my 204 exam on the 28th of june all help would be very much appreciated
What is it you want help with exactly? The image looks fine. Finesse will come with practice, so get some pieces and practice practice practice (admittedly with steel conduit that will be nigh impossible without a bender)

If you're struggling; get a drum of 1mm T&E, some switches and socket front, mark out the drawing onto a piece of MDF (or cardboard, doesn't matter) and practice terminating, with the aid of your college notes and repeat repeat repeat, helps if you can devise a way of working;

For roses I orientate so I have the terminals showing as 2-3-3 (SL, Loop, Neutral) [from my L-R], I then (in Loop and Neutral have the 'feed in' in the first hole), the second hole in each block is for the Drop (to switch) and the last hole is 'Feed Out' - By keeping it consistent it builds memory and helps everything 'flow'.

Just practice practice practice.

That bend in the white conduit is very tight and it has flattened heavily. Looks like it has probably reduced capacity by a half. I would also say that it is too tight.

I missed a trick when I did my board a few years back, I didn't wire my ring circuit out through one of the black cuff things (bottom left of consumer unit) and in vai the other one; which would have made testing and finding the ends of my ring circuit much easier.

Depends what you like to use for the diagrams but I did mine on Publisher, you can draw and alter the diagram as much as you want before printing out a nice clear image. We had examples on the walls of the sort of diagrams that were expected to produce, so it wasn't that hard to knock them up, just took me personally bl00dy ages. I spent time at home and time in the college library at lunch time trying to perfect them as much as I could, did a print out for the lecturer and often got little corrections suggested until it was fit for my work folder.
