I have a Ring Doorbell which has no Chime, but which is trickle charged via a wall-mounted BG DIN Rail transformer in a Hagar casing which diverts power from a socket cable. Firstly I have a electric check coming up and I wanted to know if this was safe or is it likely to be picked up in the Electricity Safety check because the transformer is not affixed to a DIN Rail and because in is a BG brand transformer set in a Hagar casing?

It should really go from the socket to a fused connection unit then the transformer on the load side of this. So long as the transformer is secure in the enclosure I would say its ok if there is no damage.

In an ideal world the enclosure would have a cover as I don’t know if that transformer is designed to be exposed in such a way but personaly if its in good condition and secure I dont see a problem with the transformer

That would be the problem

Domestic Socket circuits are designed to supply portable and fixed appliances through a fuse
"Domestic socket circuit" is not cited in BS7671 this situation is relevant in any setting.

Yes, the power is coming from the socket wire.
Well if the person conducting the EICR actually spots this and it's location does actually indicate the issue without too much investigation then that should attract a Code 2 issue.

A quick search for the CUB1 data sheet shows no specific OCPD requirement.

I would certainly NOT put it on a 32A RFC but have it coming off a FCU with 3A fuse, or off a 6A MCB/RCBO lighting circuit.
