Hello cable junkies, need to replace 40 of these fittings, what would you be fitting is the question.

At present it's about 3kw to run lights so according to my quick calc brain the lights above would be 30% cheaper and cleaner looking and no maintenace and 5 year guarantee.

I'd check the terminations of the fitting you choose vs. ease of connecting the cabling you have before buying 40 off, especially if the lights are daisy chained.

Some fittings have Wago-style connectors, can comfortably take 2 cables, and include an E terminal even if a Class II fitting and the E is not used. Whereas some I've come across in this style are Class II, have a tiny screw connection block under a cover that will struggle with more than 1 cable, and there is no E terminal so you have to cut the E off!

Indeed. This is the connection type for these particular light fittings:

I personally use the JCC Skypack 5' twin equivalent fittings, a they have the same body, fixing points, and connections as conventional fluorescent fittings.

T5 lamps give out 5000 lumen so 10000 per fitting, and these replacements only give iut 6000lumen... so not really a good replacement for the t5 2 x 36w..

Absolutely correct they hold water, shrouds are totally unnecessary. 20s is 24mm spanner, 20 large is 30mm spanner.

I'm not entirely certain as it's very tough, but brittle when cold.
