Hi,
I have bought a LED Lighting Strip (20 metres) to sit inside some Screwfix coving for my bedroom.
Although it will be controlled by the remote control that came with the kit or the app, I would like to use one of the switches in a 1 gang/2 switch to turn it on and off at the wall before using the remote control/app. The other switch of the 1 gang/2 switch being used for the existing ,ight in the centre of the ceiling.
The lighting ring junction box sits just above the ceiling in the loft, I know this because I replaced the bathroom lights from here.
The LED strip kit has transformer, so presumably I can plug that into a makeshift socket made from a 1 gang 3 pin socket and backing box before wiring it in as obviously the LED Strip Light Kit is not 240V.
My question is, how can I wire this up so that the lighting ring powers the LED lights but can also be switched on and off at the wall light switch - if that makes sense.
I have attached some photos of the existing wall socket (currently 1 gang 1 switch) and the wiring/chasing that goes up and into the ceiling and also the LED Strip Kit.
Any help or direction would be very much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Brendon.
