Would anyone be able to recommend a good 25mm bending spring. I assume there is a difference between say a Marshall Tufflex and a Tower one from Screwfix?

Yes local scrapper.

For the most part one bending spring is as good as any other, but (there's always a but) some can be a little tight or sloppy with different brands of conduit. To avoid any issues it might be best to buy a spring from the same manufacturer you intend buying conduit.

Don't bother with light gauge.

Mine cost under a fiver from Toolstation and I've had it 10 years. If it eventually gives up I'll get another one.
But my attitude does tend to be to try the cheaper end of things and see what wears out quickly and is worth spending £££ on.

Just get whatever the wholesaler you are buying the conduit from has in stock.

I don't think I've ever even considered the brand of bending spring, I just order one along with the conduit when I need it and make sure to put it in a safe place when the job is done, that way I can guarantee I'll never find it again and have to order another one next time 😂

Absolutely correct they hold water, shrouds are totally unnecessary. 20s is 24mm spanner, 20 large is 30mm spanner.
