Flexible Auger Bit?

I've noticed lots of USA youtube videos seem to show long flexible auger bits.
Has anyone in the UK got one, is it any good, and where did you get it?!
The only similar thing I know of is the Super-Rods one.

Super rod are the only supplier I can think of and offer flexi extensions, too.

All very expensive, although they'd save a lot of cutting and stacking extensions.

Probably very Popular in the States as 99% of all builds are timber frame

Can't say I have ever seen or used a bendy auger

I have a tool that I made about 40 years ago, which is still going strong today.
Consists of a metre long piece of 1/4" round steel bar, (which was originally part of an electric fence post), with a female 1/4" UNF coupler pushed partly over the end of it and brazed in place. That has a 1/4" semi keyless chuck, with an outside diameter of about 30mm, screwed into it, which will accept any spade bit.
If fitted with a 32mm bit, the chuck will pass through the drilled hole, so can drill three joists at a time, and if fitted with a long shaft spade bit can deal with noggins halfway down a stud wall.

I have 2 6ft long 3/4" flexible wood augers bought about 25 - 30 years ago and they have done a lot of work and been resharpened a few times
A company called Today's Tools sold them back then but had stopped importing them around 20 years ago when I tried to replace some of the smaller sizes I had
Back when I purchased them they were about £70 each but they have earned their keep and are probably getting to the point of needing to be replaced, I did look into it a while back and there appeared to be a distributor somewhere around London but due to covid I never followed it up
In use they do take a bit practice to get into the position where you want to drill the hole when you are bending the drill into a stud wall but with more use it gets easier
