Then you can get a Seaward Powertest 1557. It does all the required tests without weighing a ton or costing a mint. Simple, handheld, practical!

My dad had a Seaward think he paid around 50 quid for it

Great bit of kit and as you say did it all for the fraction of the cost of a new Meggar or Fluke

I would feel sick paying £1600 for a fisher priced toy looking thing that doesn't look very robust.
Never in a million years would I pay £1600 for a MFT

I paid around £250 for my second hand FLuke 1652 MFT and it does everything I need

Just had a look a TIS Pro kit and local wholesale place . The sales guy from TIS said they are coming out with a subscription based "form filler" program . So when doing a EICR . you tell it you are doing the test and it will put all the results in the right places .Now thats saving time for sure !!

If Bindy can afford to rinse 3 grand on a couple new testers then he must be doing something right

Hes making a fortune off YouTube on top of work so its probably not a lot to him. Personally I have no interest in his content as I find him hard to listen to, but he's done well out of it.

I seem to remember Nagy (remember him) was making £££££ off the back of his YouTube celebrity stardom. Then he just disappeared

Wow. Surprised to find my humble video on this fine forum. Thank you original poster.

I'm sure Mr. Bundy can't complain about extra dosh from YT - but most of it is from affiliate content. I think YT pays our UK sparkies "only" about £2 per 1000 views in "science and technology" section, so most of the extra money out of YouTube adventures is made on advertising Tradify, tool shops and similar stuff.

As for Nagy's disappearance - I think he's still looking for a new cameraman/editor. You know you made it big when you need a dedicated film crew to follow you at work 😆

In work we use the Megger 1741. I have used Fluke and Kewtech also. To be honest I prefer the Kewtech over the Megger and Fluke. I don't quite understand all the hype around Megger. I thought the Kewtech was a much better tester and easier to use.

Absolutely correct they hold water, shrouds are totally unnecessary. 20s is 24mm spanner, 20 large is 30mm spanner.

I'm not entirely certain as it's very tough, but brittle when cold.
