Hey all,
First post but have read up a lot over the last few months as I have been prepping for my AM2s which I sat last week and thought I done well on,
Good news is that I only failed on 2 sub sections of my install, the ring circuit and the heating system, neither of which are circuits I do at my own place of work so not used to them.
My question is really about the wording of the feedback I received on my results, as it states that “The installed circuit was not completed to a fully functioning standard” but surely this isn’t the case if when testing my own rig, I got my results and have passed the testing and inspection part?
I have attached a screenshot with said feedback, any help is much appreciated!

TL;DR
Failed 2 sections in AM2s, confused about feedback

Deciphering the jargon,, it's pointing to issues with following the prescribed specification; this can installation; conductor sizes, protective devices, routing, terminal allocation or certification; it may well be the spec says to test in a nonstandard order and not CRIPPLER etc that we get drilled into us.

Thanks for replying,
As for the spec I can only think that it’s because I used 2.5 cpc instead of 1.5 but our assessor told us we could do that as 1.5 was just the minimum, I will use 1.5 on my resit though just to cover my arse, bit annoying though!
After speaking to a college friend he asked if I checked the fuses in the spurs to see what size they were and I did not, I just saw them in there and stupidly assumed they were fine, an expensive mistake to make unfortunately.

Am2 is little to do with practical knowledge and more to do with following a wiring diagram, you may well have wired it correct but if it is not to their wiring diagram it will fail.
