Since the deco needs doing to this property.

My sister needs the TV putting on thr wall but wants the cables hiding.

What will be the best way.

You can see there's a socket on one side and near it on the chimney breast is a fused switch.

I tried knocking on where the fire place has been filled. It's not hollow. I feel its brick behind there.

I would have just put a PVC trunking cover the cables. But the vent is causing problems.

Any tips would be smashing.

Thanks

on the wall or chimney breast? either way the best way is to build a wooden frame the size of the wall area and mount the tv bracket and electrics inside it, and make it so the tv sits inside the frame flush with the edges, easy to paint around the frame and if done right it will make the tv look like it is flush into the wall. I hope I have said this so you understand, I have seen this done a lot and basically when complete you would never know the wall has been extended out a couple of inches or so, it all comes down to decoration around the tv once fitted

I meant to say put the tv on the chimney breast.

Do you have a pic of an example?
no but if you fix some 40mm2 - 50mm2 timber tight to the sides of the chimney breast from floor to ceiling you could then fix the tv brackets and sockets inside. then fill the gaps with plasterboard and tape and joint and then paint. if done right it will just look like the chimney breast is slightly larger in depth than now and be un noticable, the tv should then push into the new wall and everything hidden, You just need to think about it and I am sure you will work it out

Thanks mate..

I've thought of another idea... can I not make a hole in side of the chimney and then stick an extention through by opening the vent screwing it inside the chimney. Would that be allowed ?
