This Fluke Scopemeter 196C has sat in a barn for 20 years and I would like to get it working, the battery leaked and I replaced it and charged it.

The screen keeps flashing and beeping after 1 click upon hitting the power button.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

If the battery has leaked, I would surmise (without having access to the unit) that the corrosive chemicals it contained have damaged the electronics. It may not be beyond repair, their are some good videos on YouTube about how to go about it, but if you've not got access to the right gear it could be a very expensive endeavour.

As above.
If corrosion or moisture hasn't affected the pcb, there are other possibilities - electrolytic capacitors deteriorated etc.
A long shot - there could be a Backup battery/cell on the board that's had it, which would stop the scope from starting up.
Do you have any documentation explaining what beep codes are supposed to mean?
I imagine a circuit schematic might be hard to come by, rather limiting what might be attempted by DIY!
