Not strictly electrical but anyone used them
Supposedly open the tightest truck wheel nuts with ease

No particular use for them but i'll be testing soon

Simple gearing I expect… slower movement, but with inversely proportional force….

I can see that shearing a stubborn bolt head right off

Thats the thing

First job I did with my impact wrench I snapped my lawnmower bolt

Torque multipliers are good pieces of kit saves needing that big lump of scaff tube

Oooh. I need to torque a set of propshaft bolts back on my range rover to 650NM and I'd been wondering how to do that.... seems now I know!

(Because a standard long handle torque wrench won't physically fit and do the angles).

I have one, it's a well handy bit of kit!
It will move it or shear it, usually move it but had a couple of 20mm bolts it's snapped.
I tend to go in with some release spray and heat first, then give it some torque!

Used them and they moved stubborn big stuff with ease but beware they can easily snap things if overdone

I've also used them many years ago, they're okay if there's a place available to anchor the foot and it doesn't matter if it leaves a divet in whatever it's sitting on. Maybe useful if you're working on heavy construction steelwork or structural anchor bolts.

Nowadays the newer generations of air and even cordless impact wrenches have made them mostly redundant, even my 18v Bosch impact wrench can apply over 1300Nm of torque and it's by no means the biggest or best. Also the mechanism of impacting is more conducive to seized or stuck bolt removal than just pure smooth torque.

Everytime i go out to my mechanic he tells some something different

Use a breaker bar

I've got a new impact wrench here

Makes sense alright impacting rather than smooth torque for removal
