I'd like to replace the existing top and bottom landing switches for a set of AJAX 2-way smart dimmers.
Before I splash out, I thought its best to understand if these dimmers are compatible with the existing wiring.
The lighting circuit is wired in the 2 plate method with neutrals available at the switches and a 3-core cable between the two.
The issue I'm having is the manufacturers wiring diagram does not seem to represent the wiring arrangement I have.

Manfacturers wiring diagram:

I envisaged with my wiring topology that it would resemble something closer to this:
(Bear with me, Its messy but I don't do this for a living or have the proper software)

I contacted thier technical support but they weren't much help and responded with a blanket statement, referring me back to their diagram. Being a European company (Ukraine) I imagine its a case of not understanding alternative UK wiring methods and so am seeking advice here. The reason I believe this is because their diagram would appear to be adequate for a property wired in singles as John Ward describes HERE (6:01 - 9:46). Later in the video he goes on to show 3-core wiring between 2-way switches as I've attempted to demonstrate above.

Could anyone advise if these 2-way switches will function if wired as I've shown or have I made a complete hash of it?

Best Regards

They should fit with plenty of space, 47mm is unusual for a light switch back box they are normally shallower.
Thanks for your feedback. Its reassuring to know your experience suggests space won't be an issue.
I requested 47mm backboxes for switches when the house was rewired to future proof for smart lighting controls; deep switches/dimmers, relays etc.

I'm now on the journey of finding the best smart switches/dimmers on the market but hit another wall there.
It seems the options are limited when it comes to smart 2-way dimming.
Varilight and hamilton do offer 2-way master/companion dimmers but thier apps are limited in features and furthermore cannot be integrated with automation software like home assistant. This prevents users from creating bespoke automations using multiple sensors/controls around the house. Any recommendations?
