ive got the blue ones sold by screwfix, not the expensive ones. not worth getting the ratchet ones, as it will take longer than cutting it by hand! lol

i use some with a trigger, similar to mastic gun, squeeze and blade advances . similar price from elec. center.

Got the ones from screwfix went for the ratchet version just liked the extra capacity.

I've got a pair of Draper Expert ratchet ones which give a nice clean cut but they take up quite a lot of space in my toolbox, so started using the cheap ones from Screwfix, which seem to work fine.
I would steer clear of the big 'scissor action' ratchet ones which do mini trunking as well, because they take both hands to open and squash the tube as the blade gets blunt.

£2.99 rachet ones, there crap but they work... ya squeeze , let go, squeeze, let go and just pops off

I've been looking at these, will they cut mmt4 (38mm x 25mm). If not I might have to give the milwaukee 12v cutter a try.

Ah! post after my own heart

bought several pairs of cheap nasty scissor type ratchet ones from (CPC) and ..wasted my money. ended up throwing them away.

If you want to doa professional job you need the tools and £20 is not much to ask so bought a CK pair with lots of attachments and man they are superb.


Like a hot knife through butter. I have been using a hacksaw for years and I realise now how 5h!t that is. (Lenny I think you were jesting with your suggetsion
