Just had a little bit of a problem with a cooker yesterday pinched cable etc and the spade terminals are completely buggered on the load side, the customer has a new one on order but I still need to re terminate but can't for the life of me find the shrouds that cover the uninsulated spade crimps they got baked and disintegrated. Cheers guys

The reason the insulators have disintegrated is because the contact was poor and it generated enough heat to burn the insulator cover as well as the insulation on the wiring. Once the connection points have been overheated it's difficult to get a good contact even with a new terminal crimp so you'll need to replace the entire terminal block as well as cut the damaged wiring back and fit new push-on terminals. Sorry mate should have made it clear the customer has the complete terminal block on order not just the crimp, yep and realise the lose connection on the spade terminal caused the heat build up and the death of the block;), just wanted to get a factory finish if you know what I mean, the insulated ones are my second option. Thanks
 
Glad you found something suitable. The products in the linked page are from a vehicle wiring supplier, I would just check the insulators are rated for 230v ac.
