TNCS or TNS

I just wondered if anyone had seen a supply where there is only a single cable coming in to the service head that it was a TNCS anyway when i removed the fuse which was a sticker sealing it and was already broken I had access to all the service head connection, I noticed a live going to fuse, about 8 small black wires into neutral and the armour connected as earth. , I decided to check the loop and L-N was 0.25 and L-E was 0.39 and thought i need to check this more offen just in case

How would you normally know this wasnt TNCS and was a TNS which check between L-N & L-E

It's a split concentric cable, sounds like a TN-S supply, a bit like the picture but old colours!

You could ask the DNO if you have doubts

That supply cable you describe is not armoured it is split concentric. Which has a large line ine the middle surrounded by small neutrals and earths.

pefc and pscc would be the same on tncs and would be a indication if not sure
