Hi,

Visited a property today and this is what I found. Don’t know what the hell was going on with the chap who did this. Garage has a re-wirable fuse-board fed by 1.5 mm SWA from a non-rcd DB in the house and the armour not earthed.

Removed the earth leads from the stud on the cut out and stuck my meter (Fluke 1652) lead straight on to that stud.

Ze = 0.36
PFC = 1.1 KA
PSC = 1.3 KA

Cheers!

I am fed up of people critisising my home made PME!

It works and I get a good Ze.

Took me ages to do that....If you dont like it I left the old TNS link there for you to reconnect.

Hmmm. On the N tail in pic 5, does that tape continue all over the copper so it looks connected but isn't?

Either there's been an intermittent Neutral DNO side, and it's someon's workaround, or it's an elaborate meter fiddle that won't work (unless the supplier's Neutral is open circuited) - but your PSCC showed it wasn't....

Meters only measure line current, the N is straight in and out, just needed for voltage reference AFAIK?

Simon.
