Hey guys and gals

I am in need of some performance data for a 2.5-3kw system, SW facing in Sheffield area, 40degree pitch.

We had a call from a client reporting low generation between July and start of Sept which we are going back to look into. Run some figures through PV potential estimation utility and we are looking a little low but wanted some real data to see how much the non summer has effected generation. I have had a look on Sunny Portal but can't find a good comparison which is still hooked up to Webbox.

Cheers in advance!

Just looked at a couple - one in Shipley 3kwp SW very shallow pitch roughly 1200kwh since 1/6/12 and 1239 kwh from S/E in leeds with part shading 3.25kwp. (both solar edge systems)

these figures from Bradford met office station should hopefully allay any fears

we've had a similar query from someone in Wakefield recently, so have the figures to hand.

and the rain is keeping on coming as well, so much so that I've yet to brave the run to the warehouse to get the van as may jacket must also be in the van....... I may need to build a boat soon.

Considering the weather we've had my systems have performed really well. They've hit their SAP targets and by the end of this month should have achieved their PVGIS predictions also. The system below is a 2.88Kwp SolarEdge with Sanyo HIT's on a 40deg pitch facing south near Bath. Red is the PVGIS prediction, blue is actual.

I've just worked through the figures for sunshine hours from bradford, will be posting them up later.

Hi Sol, sunshine hours data for July-September from Bradford shows 12% lower than average sunshine hours.

There's also around 150% more rainfall in that period than average, which means the cloud cover would be much darker than average in that period.

It's not a perfect fit for actual insolation levels, but it's the best I can get hold of at the moment, though I'm trying to get hold of more detailed met office data.
