We have our first seam metal roof system to design and install and were wandering what type of fixing systems others have used?

I've been directed towards K2's Seam Metal Roof System, which actually crimps onto the seams, rather than penetrating the roof, and fixing into the purlins. Has anybody used this system and is it any good?

Any other suggestions would be kindly accepted. Below is an image of the roof covering. Crimps are spaced every 250mm. [ElectriciansForums.net] Seam Metal Roof System

We normally recommend the Schuco fixings (that Bruce B has mentioned above) which we hold stock of, happy to provide costings and design if required. The picture of the roof doesn't look like those fittings will fit though, as it is trapezoidal section rather than round standing seam? We stock the Metasole from Renusol that should be suitable for that roof, or there are a couple of others we would recommend if that would not be suitable.

Thanks for the responses. The roof as pictured is sort of a mid point between a trapezoidal and crimped roof, therefore I've been speaking with K2's technical department. The solution as they see it is to use their speedrail system, which is what I think we're going to go for. We've used this before on full trapezoidal type roofs, and it works extremely well.

We've used both K2 flatrail and speed rail (for both direct mount and A frame) on those roofs - flatrail is quicker.

Those roofs are 'secret' fixed, i.e held down at the joint by a fixing from underneath, so you will need to check the integrity of the upper skin fixing, else you may need to add additional fixings to fix the top skin.

We've also used Schletter's Fix2000 Klicktop with rubber - bear in mind that they make those custom for each job so allow three weeks for delivery
