I went for the top one a couple of years ago and paid somewhere around ÂŁ800 - ÂŁ1000 from memory ?
It took some getting used to at first but after that it saved untold time imo , I personally think it should be an mcs requirement ( well at least for some ) !

it's a pain in the whatsit, totally unintuitive to use. very very difficult to get your head around which personally I think is deliberate so you have to pay them for an expensive course to see how to use it, which is taking the mick a bit when you spend a grand on the software. It is a deal winner though because most of the big companies use it, so it's hard to look good when someone else is presenting pretty pictures of what the install will look like and lots of incomprehensable tables and graphs.

bull rules i this industry these days, andyou know what they say, if you can't dazzle 'em with diamonds!!!

then your agreeing!

if you have to practice pratice pratice then it's not intuitive to use, it's a pain in the whatsit. I expect to be able to use something out of the box, not spend hours and days and weeks wasted trying to figure out a poorly designed interface!

Its help me win over 70kw this month

It's not that difficult to use if your fairly computer literate!

Can't see how it would help won 70kw of work though! Think you may have won that without pv_sol!

because some people are swayed by pretty pictures. Thats what I use it for!

One useful by product of the change in the regs is PV sol will do your shade calcs for you.

Well I draw 3D models overlaying onto a scaled geolocation then applying actual shading depending on time of day month of year, just wished I had the chance for the 70kw. I'll even turn it in to a movie to watch 24/7 365 !
