Made the mistake of buying some chrome light-switches from Aldi when they were £5 a pop a few years ago.

Installed three of them in my living room and all seemed fine.

After a while, one of the rocker switches went slightly wonky, but still functioned so I didn't bother to do anything with it. A few weeks ago, the rocker popped out completely so I gave myself a ticking off for buying cheap rubbish and replaced it with a bog standard one.

This morning I was fumbling around in the dark for my kitchen light and something wasn't quite right. Turned another light on and found that a rocker switch must have fallen out completely and my finger had been in the void where it had been, about 2mm from touching the live terminals!

Same product from the same batch as the first. Disassembled it myself and found the internal housing of the switch was made of very cheap brown plastic. Both had failed in exactly the same way, so clearly a very shoddy product.

Who should I report this to, I really think the product should be recalled!

I'm thankful to have chubby fingers, someone with smaller hands would have stuck their finger straight into the hole and BANG...

Can you still buy them from Aldi?

Unfortunately people want things for nothing these days, so the supermarkets and ebay promptly oblige and over time quality drops through the floor. Do I need to mention cheap GU10 LED lamps again? Daz

Therein lies the problem. I see no merit in further circular debate, so will bow out of this discussion.
