Tri-rated cable is designed to run at a higher temperature than standard PVC flex, and should only be used at that rating when connected to switchgear also designed to run at high temperature. We have the same issue when using XLPE swa...just because the cable can run hotter, it doesn't mean that it should.
and any encosures its glanded off into should also be rated for the tempratures likely/expected...
