hey guys, me and my partner are moving to the uk next year on a ancestory 5 year visa and im looking to be an electrician there. im fully qualified and have my practising license here, but im curious to what tickets I need over there? and we wont be living in London either.....so whats the demand for sparkys like in leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester etc thanks!

That is not going to happen for a fly in, 12 month work, and fly out schedule. You're going to have to set yourself up as self-employed, get your own kit, transport, public liability insurance, Part P registration.
JUST LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE THAT IS ALREADY HERE
It isn't an easy ride so best to forget it mate, and plan to go work in Macky D's.

Well at least he is a fully qualified electrician, and not a half trained herbert from one of the Eastern European countries etc, or for that matter, one of our own beloved electrical trainee's. He should have little trouble finding electrical work, or indeed go self employed if he so wishes, once he's got his 2382 and had his qualifications authenticated/converted....
