Hi,

Anyone know which bell transformer I can get to fit in this board?

[ElectriciansForums.net] Bell Transformer

Hmm, I'll perhaps just stick one next to it outside the board.

i see quite a few houses with boards full of insulation.

Funnily enough, I saw one a couple of weeks ago where a shed load of polystyrene beads from the wall filling had gone inside the cu and you could see all the cables were sticky and had reacted with it.

I realise its bad practise but perhaps another make would fit as I cant see any Volex din mounted bell transformers.

A few sites state that wylex will fit Volex but i do not know myself, I'm sure someone here will know.

If it does then the following may be an option:

1. Wylex MTS8/1 8V 1 MODULE Usec 8 VOLTS MTS8 BELL TRANSFORMER 8VA OUTPUT | eBay

2. Wylex MTS12/1 Door Bell Transformer 12V | NoLinkingToThis

Why bother?
Cordless systems are cheap.
I have a couple, Front and back doors.
Less than fifteen squid a pop. No wiring. And I can even record a message.
"We have a back door visitor."

A while back we had a visitor from the US of A. She recorded a very rude message on one.
About entry being dependent being conditional on readiness for entry.

I don't suppose it needs spelling out...........

If hazard a guess that they are bothering because everything is in place for a wired system and they are far more reliable than wireless ones which need batteries changing etc.

And wireless bell pushes look awful, whereas wired ones can look at lot better if you get a decent one.
